What are Essential Oils?
Essential oils are pure substances from the roots, bark, peels, leaves, seeds, rinds and flowers of plants and trees. The use of plants for their essences has been around for tens of thousands of years.
Many of these essential oils are obtained through a water or steam distillation process. Merriam-Webster defines distillation as the process of purifying a liquid by successive evaporation and condensation.
Another method, cold press extraction, is commonly used to obtain oils from the peel of an orange or other type of citrus fruit. The oils extracted by this method are obtained by using little or no heat, unlike the distillation
process.
Lumins Mints are made with pure, organic orange and peppermint essential oils.
